Correction:
During the discussion of the animated Lord of the Rings, I asserted that Rankin and Bass had done both that and Return of the King in addition to The Hobbit. As it turns out, R&B only did Hobbit and Return, and NOT Lord. Ralph Bakshi's production stands alone.
